Hell, I am going back to neverland
I am some where between a cry and a laugh,
My mom just called me and said i looked like a gained 5 pounds...
Life is a little crazy right now....Currently, I am studying for my Series 6, Series 63 and insurance exams for my new job. My first test is April 11th...which is coming up in no time! All this working and shit, is starting to force me to grow up...not a fan!! I have to act all serious and proper alll the time.
So my new dream and ambition in life is to return to Neverland, where I have no bills, no worries and I can party like a wild child all day and night! My first pit stop in neverland would be to fight and stab PeterPan in the hand for making up this non-realistic place. As a kid, we dream of growing up and why? Why in the world would any sane kid want to grow up. And now I am kicking myself because as a kid we were told over and over again. Trust me when you grow up your going to wish you were a kid again. ok...mom, dad, aunt, uncle, grandma, grandpa and any other adult that told me this...You WIN!!
When did I do this transition where I find maybe one day a month to take a day off from the check book balancing, tax figurations, stock market worrying and where the hell I am going to find next months rent?? I want to go back to the sword hitting, brother tackling, bike riding days....is this why people have kids? O don't get me wrong, I have my fair share of fun, but I go for a motorcycle ride now and I am nervous about going to fast in case I hurt myself....I run a block and get a knee or back cramp...I tried hitting someone in the store the other day with a sword and they thought I was needy! I just don't understand.
So maybe I cannot go back to neverland but I think from this moment on...now that I have actually thought about it, I am going to take one day a week to go do something a kid would do! Let the wind take me...Chuck E cheese, Go-Karting, Batting cage, Miniture golf....the circus and ride on all the kid rides....o life is going to be one hell of an adventure now....
Who needs neverland....??

Yah...for music

Due to the fact I have not been keeping on top of my music throughout the past few months....I am adding 3 new cds in which I LOVE!!!
Thats right I said and did it! Orginally brought to my attention through a friend of a friend...My two friends Gretchen and Loni introduced me to this cd. There big kick was the "Fidelity" song...so I gave it a try! Damn, shes good! The whole cd is great, she is very unique, almost undescribable. I cannot even compare it to other artists because every song is tactfully different.
The cd is titled "Begin to Hope"...ok ill give it to you.
I am not very familiar with this artists so if this cd has been out for a while, I appologize for being behind the times. I was never in fashion as a kid either!
Damien Rice with his cd "9"New pick of the week, I had heard some good things about this cd...so of course, I had to go check this out for myself. One time through, sampling these songs and I loved it!! My favorite song is of course, "9 Crimes", which happens to be the first one on this cd.
Hats off to Damien Rice....Even with his music in the !Horrible! movie closer, it was great. So, although the movie sucked, his music made up for it.
There you have it for music this week!

Soundtrack from the Motion Picture, "Babel"
Not only was the movie good, the soundtrack is even better!
This two disc soundtrack was one of my number one items on my christmas list and thank goodness Santa was nice enough to bring it. The music is taken from all different cultures represented throughout the movie, which leads for a worldly adventure from song to song.
This album goes from "the Joker" by fatboy slim to "into the wild" by Gustavo Santaolalla. And many other artists throughout.

The Duhks "Migrations"
Hot Damn!! I cannot get enough of this album.
I was in Barnes and Noble when I first heard this cd. I tend to go to B&N, listen to random cd's I have never heard before and buy one of them. This was one of my choices and I am not diappointed by any means.
The songs on this ablum are all over the place with genres. They have songs based from gospel, african-american spirituals, instrumentals, pop genre, and rock! They have it all on one cd. The artists use different intstruments throughout the entire cd. Fiddle, Claw-Hammer Banjo, Guitar, Uillean pipes, Low whistle, bouzouki, pandeiro, cajon, congas, bongo, surdo, djemo, bells, cymbals and of course (Pots and pans)!!!
"The fox and the Bee" is an all instrumental piece which used many of the intstruments listed above. I can listen to the whole cd and not get bored, because every song sounds like its done by a different group! Very talented group of musicians!

Beat that...a pair of two's!!
.....O my dad would be sooo proud.....Monday was a good day…
I went out to play poker with my good friend Mel, who ultimately always steals my money by winning! (For that reason alone…she’s not a cool person! Ha) But this night would end very differently. Yes…I…would be at the winners table and I would take first place. I took it all, not only from Mel, but from all the other poor suckers sitting there. The group of individuals sitting around that table were some of the most fun poker players I will ever have the chance to play poker with. We played as if we were best friends one moment and enemies the next! I loved it!
My other dear friend Natalie is also another person who tends to take my money in poker...She is also not a very cool person, ha! Its times like monday night that I truely wish Natalie would have come so I could have kicked her butt in that fabulous game. I would like to take this moment to say my friend Mel, did not make it to the winners table . I think I’m going to take my chances and play her and Natalie again…
I am thinking of putting on a permanent poker night...so if anybody is interested in playing, let me know and reply back to what night would work....I'll keep everyone updated on my winnings (losings?)
As of now,
Lost a lot, won one game!! ha....

Money isn't everything...Yah ok!

So the old saying goes...Money cannot buy happiness, but lets be realistic. Without having a dime, life is stressful and worrisome. This brings me to my next point. I am happy to announce I have accepted a job as a financial advisor and Insurance agent with the First Investors corporation. I am extremely excited about this position and cannot wait to dive right on in.
So, obviously I have to promote myself and if you or anybody you know wants help with their finances Do not hesitate to call or shoot me an email. My main focus is life insurance, retirement planning and investments such as mutual funds.
One of the main reasons I took this job in the first place is due to the great part of helping people. My main mission is to help everyday people plan for their future and help them succeed with their finances. I help people save money on their taxes, plan for college funds, and plan for peoples retirements!! Just as I do, many people want to have money when they retire and in their future, they want to live comfortably and not have the stresses of worrying about how they are going to pay their bills next month. That's where I come in!!
I take my tests to get all my license in the next month or two and after that...out in the real world I go! Give me a call if you want more information.

I'm from Milwaukee my love is Harley-Davidson!

- Like a true nature's child
- We were born, born to be wild
- We can climb so high, I never wanna die
- Born to be wild
- Born to be wild
(Steppen Wolf)
(The picture above is just an example of the 1200 series...not the bike I want)
As many of you know...I am quite fond of Motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons. So, it only made sense to me to put a blurb in here about the motorcycle I want! Lately, I have spent a lot of time on the Harley-Davidson website, customizing my own bike. Price....Lets just say a lot for a bike! I want it loud, I want it sharp and mostly I want it to look damn good! This Particular bike will have to wait a few years, until I can afford it, but come on I can dream.
"The Sportster 1200 custom"
Customized parts about this bike:
Fire red and black pearl color
Entire Chrome package
21" front wheel with a 16" rear wheel with replacable black rims
The best part of the grammys was the drink in my hand!

I would like to start of by thanking God for giving me the strength to get through some of the awards, for the drink in my hand(s)....Because without the captain, I would have had to listen to those whinny Dixie Chicks all night, and finally for some of the live performances...without you the grammys would have been the worst rated watched show all night!!! (tear falls down my cheek).
What makes me sick, is the fact that I bought their latest album because I liked their number 14 track "I hope" which had nothing to do with what they said about the President and nothing to do with any controversy...but the reason they won any of their awards was purely because they bashed the President. They have some talent, but not enough to beat out the people they did!!! And the awards they won were not because of their talent but rather because they do not know how to shut their mouths. They know how to open their mouths and have someone ELSE write their songs about it!
Take the Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal category...Dixie chicks one with their song "not ready to make nice" and how many people have heard of that??? Now, there's the song "Boondocks" by Little Big Town, which was radio played to death...obviously it was a good song and everytime you go to a bar or turn on the radio which one could you listen to over again??? My pick goes to Little Big Town.
Now...Carrie Underwood, AMAZING talent. Yes I am focusing on the Country singers, because that is what I listen to, just deal with it. I loved her live performances and I bought her cd, because she has an incredible voice! She has the spunk (is that word still used?), looks, voice and talent! Hell, her award speech was even short and sweet...a natural talent...she was born to win!
Does anyone else find it kind of unusual that everytime a group/artist performs they win the next grammy??? Come on lets try to spice it up a little...

Mommy, the popular kids called me a dork!

......She went to the doctor got lipo with ya money
......She walkin around lookin like Michael with ya money
-Kanye West
I find myself out of the loop lately with this whole lipo thing...Boob jobs, ass reduction, tummy tucks. Why do I find myself so un-cool for not thinking about doing any of these things? I have an ass, what gives? Who put this standard on what a human body should look like anyways.
Two ladies on the bus the other day were talking about boob jobs, which is what makes me bring this up. They both were going on and on about what they would change on their bodies, what they did not like. Hips, boobs, nose, lips...ears?
I wanted to look at them and slap them, because you already know what they look and acted like. They were both a size 0, blonde, big boobed, trendy, "popular". As I sat there on the bus with my sweatpants, baggy sweatshirt, hair thrown up in a pony tail, no make-up, and sandals with duck tape on them (you know which ones I'm talking about). The last thing on my mind was, o shitty, my boobs, lips, nose or whatever else doesn't look good with this outfit.
I get home and the topic on the television is plastic surgery with the stars. Television shows are doing reality shows about transforming the body, making the dorky and fatty people, popular and prettier. O hell, I must have missed the memo about changing your body and becoming popular. I spent the rest of the day crying because I was and would remain a dork. I'm always a century behind the times.
